Mayfair Town & Country raised £149 for the Dorset Hospital Cancer Appeal after holding an afternoon tea recently.

Staff at the Dorchester (Poundbury) office served an array of tasty homemade cakes and invited friends, family and local residents to attend and raise money for the charity.

The cakes were supplied by Café Octagon, who are located on Pummery Square.

Laura Bredenkamp, Branch Manager at Mayfair Poundbury, said: “We’re delighted to have raised a good chunk of money for such a worthy charity. It was great to see so many people come and show their support and I’d like to thank Tracey at Café Octagon for supplying some exceptionally delicious cakes, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed.

“Unfortunately, most people now know someone who has been affected by cancer. But it’s great to be able to help charities like the Cancer Appeal whose project will make a difference to so many sufferers and their families.”

All money raised will be used to contribute to the availability of cancer treatment facilities for patients in North, South and West Dorset.
