Mayfair Town & Country have raised over £5000 for the Bone Cancer Research Trust at their Summer charity ball.

The ball, which was held at Weston-super-Mare Golf Club, attracted almost 100 guests and was supported by local couple Sue and Andy Collard who lost their daughter Mary, aged 11, to bone cancer.

The evening started with a prosecco reception followed by a three course dinner, an exciting auction, raffle and live music from local musician Darren Sims.

The auction lots were incredibly generous and featured a night on the Sunborn Yacht, a weekend at Donniford Bay and two tickets in a private box at Somerset County Cricket Club.

Other lots that got everyone bidding were a night at the Royal Hotel with dinner and breakfast and signed Thomas Hearns and Sugar Ray Leonard shorts!

David Powell, Operations Director, said: “It was a wonderful evening of great food, great music and delightful company. Thank you to everyone who supported the ball and helped make it such an exceptional evening. A particular thank you must go to Claire Passey and Debbie Wilkins who helped organise the event, as well as those who generously donated auction lots and raffle prizes - and of course those who dug deep for such a worthy cause.”

Mayfair Town & Country have been long-standing supporters of the Bone Cancer Research Trust and this was the third ball they have held in aid of the charity. In addition they hold an annual ‘Treasure Hunt’, with the total raised currently standing at over £16,000 since 2014.
