Mayfair Town & Country estate and letting agents have been out fundraising again, this time raising over £1,000 for Sport Relief.
This year’s efforts on March 23rd saw the teams of Mayfair Town & Country collectively running, walking and cycling the 104.4-mile distance from their most Northern office in Clifton, Bristol, to their most Southern in Dorchester, Dorset as part of the ‘South West Challenge’.
‘Challenge’ it was, with miles completed on foot, by bike, treadmill and cross-trainer across their 13 Bristol, Somerset and Dorset offices, leaving a few sore legs for several days after. The target miles, however, were well exceeded, with the teams achieving 125 miles in total - some 20.6 miles over the 104.4 target set!
The final total raised was £1,017, again breaking their fundraising target of £1,000.
Jordan Lyons, Sales Manager of the Mayfair Town & Country Worle office, said: “I’m incredibly proud of our teams for rising to the challenge, as we’re the first to admit we’re not a naturally sporty bunch! But we’re always happy to step up in the name of charity, and the aches and pains were well worth it when we saw the total come in.
Thank you to everyone who donated, prior to the event and on the day, and for the support from the public and passers-by who gave us such welcome words of encouragement on the day.”
The money raised for Sport Relief goes directly to the charity, helping vulnerable people, across the UK and the world, to live happier, healthier and safer lives.
